REGARDING Job Vacancy, Linguistics LECTURER/SENIOR LECTURER (LIMITED TENURE) IN LINGUISTICS Applications are invited for a Lectureship/Senior Lectureship in Linguistics in the Department of Linguistics and Language Studies at the University of Melbourne, Australia. Applicants will have a PhD in Linguistics and teaching and research specialisation in one or more of the central areas of Linguistics. Teaching and/or research strength in Phonetics/Phonology will be an advantage, but applications are welcomed from candidates with other areas of expertise. The successful candidate will be expected to teach courses at a range of levels from introductory to advanced, to supervise Honours and postgraduate students and to participate fully in this dynamic Linguistics Programme. The position is a limited tenure appointment of three years duration, extendable to five years, and will commence in July 1992 or January 1993 by arrangement with the candidate.
