Meeting Description:

Australian Linguistic Society 2009 Annual Conference and General Meeting.
The 2009 ALS Conference will be held at the Hotel Ibis,Therry Street, Melbourne,
VIC 3000

Registration Information:
Registration for ALS2009 is done online. You can use Visa, Bankcard or
Mastercard credit cards to pay online via a secure server and receive a paid
GSTTax invoice as confirmation of payment. Please ensure you print out the
receipt when you complete the payment online as there is no way for the
University to reproduce a receipt at a later time.

Registration costs pay for a conference pack containing abstracts and conference
information, use of space and equipment, conference attendance and morning and
afternoon tea each day. All costs include Goods and Services Tax (GST). Go to
the ALS2009 website (http://www.latrobe.edu.au/rclt/ALS2009.htm) to register for
the conference, and other related events.

The Annual General Meeting of the Australian Linguistic Society will be held
from 4.30pm on Friday 10 July, followed by the conference dinner. If you are
attending the conference dinner, please register by Friday 26th June 2009. The
conference dinner will be at cost, expected to be $50 per head. Please register
and pay for this at the time of registering for the conference. Information

Presenters need to have registered and paid by 15th June 2009.
Final day for registration and payment to attend conference only is Wednesday
1st July 2009. Please remember to print out the receipt when you complete the
payment online as there is no way for the University to reproduce a receipt at
alater time.

Accommodation
The Hotel Ibis has provided fixed rates for conference attendees. The rates
areas follows:
Standard room - $132 per room per night
One bedroom apartment - $170 per night
Two bedroom apartment - $237 per night
