Second Call for Papers We are pleased to announce that the 9th International Conference on the Structure of Hungarian (ICSH9) will be held in Debrecen, Hungary from 30 August to 1 September 2009. The Conference is organized jointly by the Department of English Linguistics of the University of Debrecen, the Department of General and Applied Linguistics of the University of Debrecen, the Research Institute for Linguistics of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, and the Linguistic Work Committee of the Debrecen Regional Committee of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. Abstracts are solicited for 30-minute presentations (plus 10 minutes for discussion) that make a contribution to our understanding of the structure of the language and/or the structure of linguistic theory, drawing on any aspect of the morphology, phonetics, phonology, syntax, semantics, pragmatics, psycholinguistics, sociolinguistics, neurolinguistics or historical linguistics of Hungarian. Anonymous, maximally two-page abstracts (in a font no smaller than 11pt.), written in English, should be submitted no later than 15 February, 2009. The abstracts are to be submitted as PDF files through the ConfTool System. Please visit our homepage (http://icsh9.unideb.hu) for the submission details. The registration fee will be 15.000 HUF for students and 25.000 HUF for any other participants. The registration fee covers an abstract book and a registration folder, coffee breaks with snacks, a dinner reception in the main building of the University of Debrecen, and a bus trip plus dinner in the countryside. The conference aims to bring together postgraduate students to present and discuss current research, results and problems from any field of linguistics. Call for Papers Abstracts of no more than 250 words are invited on any topic in linguistics.
