Assistant Professor of Spanish Syntax and Linguistics The Departments of Linguistics and of Spanish, Italian and Portuguese invite applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor position in Spanish Syntax and Syntax, for the 2009-2010 academic year. Teaching duties are to be divided equally between the two departments and include both undergraduate and graduate teaching in syntactic theory, Spanish syntax and general linguistics. The person appointed should demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching. Professional-level fluency in both English and Spanish are required. Ph.D. is preferred but exceptional A.B.D. candidates will also be considered. The date of appointment is August 16, 2009. Send a letter of application along with CV (including email address), up to 3 representative publications, statement of teaching and research interests, teaching evaluations if available, and three letters of references to Professor James Yoon at the address provided below.
