Description:
De afdeling Taal & Communicatie van de Faculteit der Letteren zoekt op
korte termijn een universitair hoofddocent (voor 100 % van de werktijd) met
als taak het verzorgen van onderwijs, het verrichten van onderzoek en het
uitvoeren van managementtaken op het terrein van taal en communicatie
binnen institutionele contexten. Het profiel van de kandidaat ligt niet
vast. Wel is duidelijk dat de UHD zowel een brede belangstelling voor
onderzoek en onderwijs op het gebied van taal en communicatie moet hebben
als een eigen specialisme binnen dat gebied. De gezochte functionaris is
een specialist op het terrein van tekst en discourse en voelt zich thuis in
één of meer gebieden als de volgende:
- institutionele communicatie
- persuasieve teksten
- de talige kenmerken van institutionele genres
- effectiviteit van communicatie
U zult taken uitvoeren op het gebied van onderwijs, onderzoek en
management. Bij het onderwijs ligt de nadruk op het ontwikkelen, verzorgen
en verbeteren van colleges op het terrein van taalgebruik in institutionele
contexten. Dit onderwijs verzorgt u op bachelorniveau en op masterniveau.
Uw onderzoek dient aan te sluiten bij het onderzoek van de leerstoel naar
taal in institutionele contexten. U zult de coördinatie krijgen van
verschillende onderzoeksprojecten. Kandidaten met een aantoonbare expertise
op het terrein van journalistieke teksten (b.v. w.b. kenmerken en
effectiviteit van journalistieke genres) hebben daarbij de voorkeur. Verder
wordt van u verwacht dat u in staat bent managementtaken binnen de
leerstoel en de faculteit uit te voeren en zgn. 2e en 3e geldstromen aan te
trekken.
U bent gepromoveerd op het terrein van de taalkunde, taalbeheersing,
communicatiewetenschap of een verwante discipline; u heeft expertise op het
terrein van taalgebruik in institutionele contexten; u bent initiatiefrijk,
onder meer blijkend uit het organiseren van symposia en het aantrekken van
2e en 3e geldstromen; u heeft gepubliceerd in nationale en internationale
tijdschriften; u bent een enthousiasmerende, flexibele en ervaren docent,
met zowel een breed didactisch repertoire als een eigen specialisme; u
beschikt aantoonbaar over leidinggevende capaciteiten en bent in staat
gebleken managementtaken efficiënt en zorgvuldig uit te voeren.
De arbeidsovereenkomst wordt aangegaan voor een periode van twee jaar.
Daarna bestaat de mogelijkheid van een arbeidsovereenkomst voor onbepaalde
