This conference is designed for students from all levels of study who wish to share their work and gain conference presenting experience. Students may submit abstracts from working papers. There is an option for giving a paper or poster presentation. Call for Papers Papers from the following fields will be accepted: -Pragmatics -Intercultural Communication -Sociolinguistics -Second Language Acquisition -Discourse Analysis -Bilingualism/Multilingualism -Corpus Linguistics -Neurolinguistics/Psycholinguistics and other areas related to applied linguistics Abstract Instructions: - Title - Name, affiliation and contact information (including address, telephone, email) - 300 words maximum - Include references, if any - Specify paper or poster presentation Please send an electronic copy of your abstract to bcalsconference gmail.com with the file name: "BCALS09_oneinitialsurname" (e.g., "BCALS09_fbrown") Presentation Guidelines: -Individual presentations will be 30 minutes (including 10 minutes for questions) -Poster presentations will be available during a specified time slot for discussion
