Description:
The Department of Linguistics at Yale is seeking to appoint a postdoctoral associate in the area of morphology for a period of two years (non-renewable) beginning September 1, 2009. Our department is committed to integrating a variety of methodologies in studying the nature of human language, including theoretical, experimental, computational, and comparative perspectives. The postdoctoral associate will participate fully in and contribute to the intellectual life of the department, interacting with faculty and students on research and teaching at least one course or seminar per year (possibly jointly). Candidates should send an application including (a) a cover letter describing their research interests and the kind of research collaborations they envision with department faculty, (b) a current CV, (c) two or three representative pieces of research. In addition, applicants should arrange for three reference letters to be sent to the address below. All requirements for their doctoral degree must be completed by the start of the appointment.
