Meeting Description:

ILLS 1: LOL (29-31 May 2009) is a student-run conference at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

The first annual meeting of the Illinois Language & Linguistics Society (ILLS)
will be held at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign from 29-31 May
2009. The theme of the first meeting is Language Online, and thus many of the
papers address computer-mediated communication, but the meeting also includes
papers in other areas of linguistics.

In keeping with the special theme of the conference -- language online -- the
presentations will be available via a live video stream over the internet. The
website will be updated with details on viewing the conference online within a
few weeks.
