Description:
The SEAMEO Regional Language Centre is looking for a Language Specialist with a PhD in the field of Applied Linguistics. The successful applicant will teach serving teachers from Southeast Asia on professional courses including a Diploma and MA. He/she should be comfortable with any three of the following: * Pedagogic Grammars * Phonology * Second Language Acquisition * Second Language Pedagogy * Language Testing and Assessment * Language Curriculum and Materials Development * ICT in Language Teaching He/she will also be involved in managing academic matters related to the programmes including preparing schedules and briefing colleagues. Candidates should have a least 2 years experience of teaching a second or foreign language at school or university level and at least 2 years in teacher training. It would be an advantage if some of this was in Southeast Asia and included some experience in managing programmes. Successful candidates will be required to teach only 10 or 11 months in an academic year and will be paid 11 or 12 months salary respectively. Please see job contact information below.
