It is a venue for the publication of high quality peer-reviewed research of a theoretical, empirical and/or experimental nature, focusing on the interface between language and cognition. It publishes, and is open to, research from the full range of subject disciplines, theoretical backgrounds, and analytical frameworks that populate the language and cognitive sciences, on a wide range of topics. Research published in the journal typically adopts an interdisciplinary, comparative, multi-methodological approach to the study of language and cognition and their intersection. The journal is edited by Daniel Casasanto (MPI Psycholinguistics, Nijmegen), Seana Coulson (UCSD), Vyvyan Evans (Bangor University), Laura Michaelis (University of Colorado, Boulder), David Kemmerer (Purdue University) and Chris Sinha (Portsmouth University). Language and Cognition is the official journal of the UK-Cognitive Linguistics Association (UK-CLA). Individual members of the UK-CLA are entitled to free online access to Language and Cognition. Membership is free in 2009 and reduced by 50% in 2010. The UK-CLA is open to all regardless of geographical base, nationality or theoretical background.
