At the Department of Linguistics/Neurolinguistics a PhD Position (Salary Scale EG 13 TV-L/50 %) is available for 2 years beginning immediately in the project 'Language processing in Turkish children with German as a second language: Neurophysiological and linguistic investigations.' The project investigates the acquisition of the German plural in Turkish children using event-related potentials (ERPs) as well as language analysis. This project is funded by the Federal Ministry of Research and Education (BMBF). Due to the multiple aspects of the project, candidates with a completed degree (MA or diploma) in linguistics, psychology, cognitive neuroscience, or a related field and a strong interest in child language development/second language acquisition are invited to apply. The preparation of a PhD-dissertation is expected. An excellent command of German and English are a necessity. Native/near-native Turkish skills are a plus. Ideally, the candidate has experience using event-related potentials. The University of Konstanz is an equal opportunity employer and tries to increase the number of women in research and teaching.
