The 9th Conference on Language Engineering, is organized by the Egyptian Society of Language Engineering to be held 23-24 December, 2009 at the Faculty of Engineering, Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt. Call for Papers: The scope of the conference covers, but is not limited to: 1. Language analysis and comprehension 2. Language generation 3. Spoken language understanding 4. Discourse and dialogue systems 5. Evaluation of natural language processing systems 6. Large Corpora 7. Speech recognition and synthesis 8. Natural language processing for information retrieval 9. Machine translation 10. Language Engineering frameworks and methodologies 11. Language Engineering and artificial intelligence 12. Automatic character recognition 13. Semantic Web and Ontology languages The highly ranked papers will be chosen for possible publication in the Scientific Journal on Language Engineering to be edited by the Society after further review to stick to the authors rules of the Journal.
