Computational Linguist for NLP-Powered Search Engine Equity-Based Co-Founder/Lead Developer Position MyRoar, Inc. is a young and exciting search engine company that has developed a superior enterprise search application based on natural language processing (NLP) question answering technology. The company has already achieved significant development milestones, with initial tests demonstrating the highest precision in the question answering space. MyRoar has also passed preliminary investor due diligence and is in the process of raising investment capital. In the coming months the company will be working with a carefully selected beta client. MyRoar is looking for a talented computational linguist in the San Francisco Bay Area to contribute to our fun and enthusiastic team as a senior NLP developer and co-founder of the company. This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-moving start-up while still getting in on the ground floor. Major Responsibilities: - Lead implementation and development of natural language processing technologies - Manage integration of selected open source NLP technologies and custom in-house NLP technologies - Integrate natural language processing-based question answering system into enterprise search framework - Build team of strong developers and testers - Provide strategic direction for question answering technologies Critical Qualifications - MS/PhD in Linguistics, Cognitive Science, or Computer Science - Experience with natural language processing, including morphological and syntactic analysis; in particular, experience using the Stanford Parser - Strong computational linguistics programmer able to code rapidly in Java, Perl, and other computer languages - Experience with machine learning, text analytics, text mining, text classification, natural language generation, or information retrieval - Experienced NLP developer and development manager - Strong work ethic and personal character Candidates Only - Recruiters please do not apply!
