Are you aware of inaccuracies in the ISO 639-3 standard codes for the identification of languages relating to your area of expertise? If so, please consider taking a fairly simple step to get them fixed! Submit a "change request" stating the nature of the change needed, the rationale for it, and the evidence in support of it. Change requests to be processed and decided at the end of 2009 are now being accepted. Included here are the change requests for Africa that been received during the period since the last review cycle: Africa, Central btb Beti (Cameroon) Africa, Central zrn Zirenkel Africa, East nle East Nyala Africa, East lsy Mauritian Sign Language Africa, West ife Ifè Africa, West nqg Ede Nago Africa, West xkb Manigri-Kambolé Ede Nago Africa, West mxx Mahou Africa, West tde Tiranige Diga Dogon Africa, West nzz Nanga Dama Dogon The submission deadline for this year is September 1, 2009. It is a good idea to send in requests as early as possible. Requests sometimes require clarification or expansion to be sure that everything is complete for review and evaluation. Details on the process and the forms needed may be found at: http://www.sil.org/iso639-3/submit_changes.asp#Submitting To see all change requests, please visit: http://www.sil.org/iso639-3/chg_requests.asp?order=region&chg_status=current
