The XXVII Biennial Louisiana Conference on Hispanic Languages and Literatures
will be hosted at Louisiana State University on February 11-13, 2010.



Call for Papers:

Twenty minute papers and panels lasting 100 minutes are requested for the
linguistics sessions of the conference. We welcome research regarding all
aspects of Spanish, Portuguese or other Iberian languages, in domains such
as theoretical linguistics, sociolinguistics, applications of technology to
language analysis, first and second language acquisition, applied
linguistics, contact between Spanish and other languages, and language
attrition and loss.

Abstract Deadline: November 1, 2009

Abstracts can be written in Spanish, English, or Portuguese must be at most
one page long on a letter‐size sheet (8 1/2 by 11) with one‐inch margins
and typed in a 12‐point font. An optional second page is permitted for data
and references. Abstracts must be anonymous. Submissions are limited to one
individual and one joint abstract per author or two joint abstracts per
author. Authors should indicate whether they would like to be considered
for a presentation, poster or both. Abstracts must be submitted as
electronic files (PDF, rtf, Word, or WordPerfect). Notices of acceptance or
rejection will be sent shortly after the abstract deadline.
