Description:
The TüZLi (Tübingen Center for Linguistics) at the University of Tübingen is opening a two year postdoctoral position in the area of machine learning and linguistics. The successful candidate will be a researcher with demonstrated research experience in machine learning, especially regarding applications to linguistics and language processing. He or she is expected to cooperate with researchers from the Max Planck Institute for Biological Cybernetics. Thus, familiarity with kernel methods is highly desirable. Excellent language skills (written and oral) in English are required. The salary is figured according to the union contract named TVöD, E 13. Applications should include CV, an outline of research experience, as well as names and addresses of up to three references. Applications should be sent by mail or by email to the address below. The position is to be filled as soon as possible. Applications received by October 15, 2009 will receive full consideration, although interviews may start at any time and will continue until the position has been filled.
