Meeting Description:

Two full days of practical learning sessions -- Translation and Terminology Workshops (in Portuguese and in English, more languages if possible) -- for the professional translator and interpreter of technical, engineering, scientific, and industrial materials delivered by engineers and technicians with extensive experience in translation, and by professional translators and interpreters and other leading experts in their field.

Call for Proposals:

Expected Contributions:

Technical translators, engineers actively involved in translation, project managers of translation companies specializing in technical translation, technical dictionary authors, stakeholders involved in the generation, management, or dissemination of knowledge in the area of technical / engineering translation are invited to submit proposals for oral presentations for practical learning sessions: Translation and Terminology Workshops.

Method of Presentation:

Oral presentation (1 to 2 hours) with PowerPoint projection. Presentation will be included in the Conference CD-ROM, together with other materials (PDF) selected by speaker.


Presentations and audiovisual / printed materials must be in Portuguese (European or Brazilian), English, Spanish or French or any combination of these languages.
