Call for Papers [descendre pour la version française] Research Students' colloquium Praxiling UMR5267 (Université Montpellier 3 - CNRS) Digital technology: Issues, Challenges and Perspectives Numérique (s) : Enjeux, Défis, Perspectives NEDEP 2009 Focal Points The increase in Information and Communications Technology, (ICT), has given rise to various important changes, not only in the social sphere but also in methods of organisation, interaction and coordination. In this context, digital media (image, sound, text, video, communication tools, local networks, Internet etc) have become essential in many fields. The aim of this colloquium organized by Praxiling UMR 5267 (Université Montpellier 3 - CNRS) is to investigate the impact of digital technology in various activities. Our starting point will be the question: What are the issues, challenges and perspectives of digital technology in our various disciplines? Proposed Themes Digital technology in the media and e-learning Digital Program design Social and/or professional computer practice Interactions and technologies Different perspectives on computer technology Relevant Disciplines Anthropology, Information and Communication Technology, Computer Science, Psychology, Linguistics, Educational Science, Sociology. Colloque des jeunes chercheurs CNRS, Montpellier, 25-26 juin 2009 Praxiling UMR 5267 CNRS Numérique (s) : Enjeux, Défis et Perspectives NEDEP 2009 Problématique L'extension des Technologies de l'Information et de la Communication (TIC) s'accompagne de différents changements importants non seulement dans la vie sociale mais aussi de nouveaux modes d'organisation, d'interactions et de coordination. De tels enjeux ont en effet des répercussions importantes sur nos pratiques sociale, interactionnelle, éducative, etc. Dans ce contexte, le support numérique (images, son, textes, vidéo, outils de communication, dispositif local, dispositif Internet, etc.) est devenu ainsi une modalité incontournable dans de nombreuses activités humaines. C'est pourquoi ce colloque, organisé par Praxiling UMR5267 (Université Montpellier 3 - CNRS) a pour objectif d'interroger divers domaines pour rendre compte de l'impact des pratiques numériques. Aussi nous partirons pour cette réflexion de la question suivante : « Quels sont les enjeux, les défis et les perspectives du numérique dans nos différentes pratiques ? » Thématiques proposées - Le support numérique dans les médias et l'enseignement à distance - La conception du support numérique - Le numérique : les pratiques sociales et/ou professionnelles - Le support numérique et les interactions - Les perspectives du support numérique Les domaines concernés Anthropologie, Information et communication, Informatique, Psychologie, Sciences du langage, Sciences de l'Éducation, Sociologie. The eighth edition of the PIF workshop will be held on May 18-19, 2009, in Antwerp, Belgium. It is jointly organized by the Center for Psycholinguistics at the University of Antwerp, the Department of Experimental Psychology at Ghent University, and the CONCAT research group at KU Leuven. The workshop is sponsored by the Research Foundation - Flanders (FWO). Call for Papers The workshop organizers particularly invite pre-doctoral researchers to give a spoken presentation. This year, we are proud to have keynote presentations by Matthew Crocker (Saarland University), and Manuel Carreiras (Basque Center on Cognition, Brain and Language). Titles can be submitted for papers presenting all aspects of language processing. All submissions are considered as spoken presentations. There is no poster session. Participants wishing to present should submit a title for their presentation *before March 16th* by e-mail to pif2009 ua.ac.be. If the number of submitted titles should exceed the number of available slots for talks, the members of the scientific committee will make a selection. We will notify you of the decision by March 23rd. Abstracts should be submitted *before April 20th*, by e-mail to pif2009 ua.ac.be, and should consist of a maximum of 400 words of text (including stimulus examples, references and data summaries). Participation is free, but if you want to attend the workshop, please confirm your presence by e-mail to pif2009 ua.ac.be *before April 20th*. Presenters will be automatically registered.
