Description:
Tenure-track position as Assistant Professor in Spanish Linguistics to begin August 1, 2010. Preference will be given to applicants with expertise in classroom-based research/language instruction and/or in computational linguistics with a focus on classroom-based teaching and research. Candidate must be willing to work with students and colleagues from differing theoretical backgrounds. Teaching responsibilities include but are not limited to courses in Hispanic linguistics at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Ph.D. in hand or expected by date of appointment. Evidence of excellent research potential and teaching required. Native or near-native proficiency in Spanish is expected. Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
