Full-time, visiting faculty appointment in TESOL/TFL for one semester: January 2010 to May 2010, dependent upon funding Category: Faculty Department: GSTILE Locations: Monterey, CA Type: Full-time Temporary Ref. No.: 50805 Responsibilities: - Teach up to 10 weekly contact hours - Hold weekly office hours - Attend monthly faculty meetings - Participate in evaluation of MA Program Portfolios (twice per semester) Minimum Requirements: - PhD in Applied Linguistics or TESOL (ABD considered) - Experience in teaching methodology, applied linguistics research, and language assessment or SLA courses for TESOL and Foreign Language (FL) teachers - Proven record of teaching excellence in teaching applied linguistics courses for graduate students as demonstrated in supervisor and peer observations, student evaluations, original materials, etc. - Ability to collaborate effectively as a team member - Ability to work with graduate students from varied linguistic, educational, and experiential backgrounds Desirable Qualifications: - Record of presentations and publications Additional Information: Priority screening begins November 15, 2009.
