The Faculty of Arts (Faculté des Lettres) of the University of Lausanne, Switzerland, invites applications for the position of Full-time Senior Scientist (Maître d'enseignement et de recherche de type 1 à 100%) in Textual Computer Science Science at the Department of Computer Science and Mathematical Methods for the Human Sciences (IMM) REQUIRED PROFILE: - Ph.D.and strong academic education, including involvement in issues related to the Human Sciences, or at least demonstrating an active interest in those domains - International and active research record, related to the scientific activities of the Department, namely applications of computer science and mathematical methods to textual data (description, visualization, comparison, modeling, statistical and linguistic treatments of text corpora, etc.) - Teaching experience, preferably acquired with students in Human Sciences JOB DESCRIPTION: The successful candidate is expected: - to develop a strong research program, of international level - to provide 8 to 10 hours of weekly teaching (in French) at the undergraduate and graduate levels - to supervise undergraduate students and graduate student research - to coordinate the Computer Science teachings of the Department.
