Description:
Applications are invited for a position as a researcher and lecturer in English Linguistics at the Friedrich-Schiller-Universität Jena (http://www.uni-jena.de). The position is available for two years, commencing April 2009. An extension is possible. Successful candidates should hold a degree in English linguistics, comparative linguistics or general linguistics. Expertise in one or more of the following fields is desired: linguistic typology, semantics, methods of data collection (esp. elicitation, questionnaires). The position will be full-time for candidates holding a Ph.D. and part-time otherwise. The teaching load is two courses per week for full-time employees and one course per week for part-time employees. The salary is according to the German public service pay scale (TV-L, Group E 13). The Friedrich-Schiller-Universität Jena is an equal opportunity employer.
