The Program in Linguistics at Tulane University (http://tulane.edu/liberal-arts/linguistics/) is pleased to announce the establishment of a new Ph.D. in Linguistics and invites applications for three four-year fellowships for the academic year beginning in August 2010. The Program has particular strengths in Mesoamerican indigenous languages, African languages such as Yoruba and Swahili, East and Southeast Asian languages, Louisiana French, Spanish, pidgins and creoles, sociolinguistic variation, language death and revitalization, language acquisition, bilingual education, philosophy of language, neurolinguistics, embodied cognition, and robotics.
