Dans le cadre du projet ANR Phonlex (De la phonologie aux formes lexicales :
liaison et cognition en français contemporain) sur la liaison en français, une
conférence sur tous les aspects des phénomènes de sandhi se tiendra à
l'Université de Toulouse 2 - le Mirail, du 8 au 10 septembre 2010.
Call for Paper
The Phonlex project (From Phonology to the Lexicon: liaison and cognition in
contemporary French) brings together 4 linguistic and psycholinguistic research
teams in Toulouse, Grenoble and Paris. These teams have been investigating
various dimensions of French liaison: phonological and phonetic aspects,
regional variation, the synchronic and diachronic dimension, oral developmental
issues as well as liaison in written production. These topics will constitute
the core of our conference. However, French liaison is not an isolated sandhi
phenomenon within the languages of the world and we therefore welcome papers
which discuss the wider issue of word-segmentation and adjustments at
word-boundaries.
Invitation to Submit:
We invite oral and poster presentations addressing all aspects of either French
liaison or sandhi phenomena in other languages. These include but are by no
means limited to:
1- the lexicon and word segmentation
2- phonology
3- phonetics and prosody
4- psycholinguistics
5- synchrony and diachrony
6- variation
7- frequency
8- the interface between oral and written production
9- language production, perception and acquisition
10- language disorders
The languages for papers and poster presentations are English or French. Oral
presentations will be allocated 20 minutes plus 10 minutes for questions.
Posters will be the focus of a special session with dedicated 5 minutes slots
for general presentation to the whole conference.

Submission Guidelines:
Abstracts must be 300-450 words (excluding references) and must be sent by e-
mail to Phonlex2010univ-tlse2.fr by March 12, 2010. The attached document in
Word or PDF format should contain a title, the abstract plus references. Please
DO NOT include information indentifying the author(s) in the email attachment.
Author(s) information including name, affiliation and email address(es), as well
as preference for an oral presentation or a poster presentation should be
detailed in the body of the email. All abstracts will be subject to review by an
international Scientific Committee. Notification of acceptance will be
communicated by April 30, 2010.

Call for Paper (French)
Phonlex regroupe 4 laboratoires de recherche en linguistique et en
psycholinguistique, à Toulouse, Grenoble et Paris. Les équipes travaillent sur
le phénomène de la liaison en français dans les domaines de la phonologie et de
la phonétique, de la diachronie et de la synchronie, de la variation régionale
et du développement à l'oral et en production écrite. Ces aspects sont au centre
des thématiques de la conférence. Néanmoins, d'autres phénomènes de sandhi
existent dans les langues du monde et toute communication abordant les aspects
de segmentation de mot et d'ajustement de frontières lexicales sont les bienvenues.
Proposition de Communication:
Les communications orales et les présentations posters porteront sur tous les
aspects des phénomènes de sandhi. Les thèmes de la conférence incluent, de
façon non limitative :
1- lexique et segmentation en mots
2- phonologie
3- phonétique et prosodie
4- psycholinguistique
5- synchronie et diachronie
6- variation
7- fréquence
8- interface oral-écrit
9- production, perception et acquisition du langage
10- pathologies de la parole
Les langues pour les propositions et les présentations sont l'anglais et le
français. Pour les communications orales, les intervenants disposeront de 20
minutes suivies de 10 minutes de discussions. Les posters seront affichés
pendant une journée et feront l'objet d'une présentation de 5 minutes lors des
sessions orales.

Modalités de Soumission :
Les propositions, sous forme de résumé de 300 à 450 mots (hors références
bibliographiques) seront à envoyer par e-mail à Phonlex2010univ-tlse2.fr pour
le 12 mars 2010. Le document, sous format Word ou PDF, devra contenir le titre,
le résumé et la préférence pour une présentation orale ou affichée. Ce document
doit être anonyme. Ainsi, AUCUNE information concernant le ou les auteur(s) ne
devra apparaître dans ce fichier. Merci d'indiquer dans le corps du message
électronique le nom du ou des auteur(s), l'affiliation, ainsi que le ou les
adresse(s) e-mail. Tous les résumés seront soumis à une évaluation par un
comité scientifique international. Les notifications d'acceptation seront
communiquées au plus tard le 30 avril 2010.
