Description:
Rice University's Center for the Study of Languages invites applications for a full-time appointment for a Coordinator of Chinese language and Lecturer in Mandarin. This is a two-year, renewable appointment with a 3/2 teaching load, to begin 1 July 2010. Requirements: M.A., native or near-native in Mandarin, experience coordinating a language program, training in foreign language pedagogy, some degree of proficiency with instructional technology. Responsibilities include: planning of courses and schedules, advising students, supervising tutors, facilitating in-service training, providing liaison with the Directors of the CSL and the Chao Center for Asian Studies and other duties as assigned by the Director of the CSL.
