TESOL/TFL Program Visiting Faculty Position Announcement Full-time, visiting faculty appointment in TESOL/TFL for three academic years: August 2010 to May 2013 Minimum Requirements - EdD or PhD in Applied Linguistics or TESOL (ABD considered) - Experience in teaching graduate courses for TESOL and Foreign Language (FL) teachers - Experience in teaching various graduate level courses in applied linguistics, including pedagogy and curriculum courses, assessment, and SLA - Proven record of teaching excellence as demonstrated in supervisor and peer observations, student evaluations, original materials, etc. - Ability to collaborate effectively as a team member - Ability to work with graduate students from varied linguistic, educational, and experiential backgrounds Desirable Qualifications - Record of presentations and publications - Willingness to participate in curriculum innovation Responsibilities - Teach up to 10 weekly contact hours per semester - Hold weekly office hours - Attend monthly faculty meetings - Participate in evaluation of MA Program Portfolios (submitted twice per semester) Please send application materials, including: - Current CV - Letter of interest specifying particular suitability for the position - Names and full contact information for three references - Student evaluations from applied linguistics courses for TESOL and FL teachers Priority screening begins January 16, 2010.
