Description:

Second Language Testing, Inc., a small business in Rockville, MD, is in
need of an anthropological linguist to conduct a review of the literature
and manage test development projects relating to the assessment of
proficiency in Amerindian and Meso-American languages.

Primary qualifications:
- An M.A. or Ph.D. in Anthropological Linguistics or Applied Linguistics
- Knowledge of second language testing or educational testing
- Excellent writing skills
- Personal integrity
- Interpersonal skills

Secondary qualifications:
- Speaking proficiency in Spanish
- Prior study of Amerindian languages and cultures
- Background in bilingual education or TESL
- Live in the DC area

Salary: Commensurate with qualifications.
