Le Département de langues, linguistique et traduction désire pourvoir un
poste de professeure ou de professeur en linguistique française dans les
domaines de la lexicologie, de la lexicographie et de la sémantique.

Fonctions
- Enseignement, en particulier, de la lexicologie et de la lexicographie
aux trois cycles;
- Direction d'essais, de mémoires et de thèses;
- Recherches et publications;
- Contribution souhaitée aux travaux et au développement du Trésor de la
langue française au Québec (TLFQ);
- Participation aux activités départementales, facultaires et universitaires.

Exigences
- Doctorat en linguistique avec spécialisation en lexicologie française;
- Expérience en lexicographie;
- Connaissances dans le domaine de la variation linguistique
- Intérêt marqué pour l'histoire et le développement de la lexicologie et
de la lexicographie au Québec;
- Recherches et publications pertinentes;
- Expérience souhaitable de l'enseignement en milieu universitaire.

FRENCH LINGUISTICS : LEXICOLOGY, LEXIOGRAPHY AND SEMANTICS

Position of professor
Department de languages, linguistics and translation

Starting date: August 1, 2010

The department of languages, linguistics and translation at Laval
University invites applications for a position of professor in French
linguistics in the areas of lexicology, lexicography and semantics.

Duties
- Teaching at undergraduate and graduate levels, in lexicology and
lexicography in particular;
- Supervision of essays and master's and doctoral theses;
- Research and publications;
- Participation in the activities and development of the Trésor de la
langue française au Québec (TLFQ) is desirable;
- Participation in department, faculty and university activities.

Requirements
- Ph. D. in linguistics, with specialisation in French lexicology;
- Experience in lexicography;
- Familiarity with the study of language variation;
- Demonstrated interest in the history and development of lexicology and
lexicography in Québec;
- Relevant research and publications;
- Teaching experience at the university level is an asset.

Salary and working conditions are as determined by the collective agreement
in force.
