The Conference is organized into three main sessions: theoretical linguistics, applied linguistics and translation studies. We invite abstracts for twenty-minute talks (followed by ten minutes of discussion) on any of the following: syntax, semantics, language acquisition, phonetics and phonology, formal pragmatics, applied linguistics, discourse analysis, and translations studies. Call for Papers The Annual Conference of the English Department University of Bucharest The 12th Annual Conference of the English Department of the University of Bucharest will be held between 3 - 5 June, 2010. Papers are invited in the following areas: Theoretical Linguistics Applied Linguistics Translation Studies Presentations, in English, should be 20 min. long plus 10 min. for discussion. Authors are invited to submit abstracts in Pdf format; abstracts may not exceed 300 words (including a list of keywords). Proposals must include title of paper, name and institutional affiliation, mailing address, phone number, and e-mail address. Deadline for receipt of proposals: 15 February 2010.
