We kindly invite participants. The topic of the conference is: "Globalization, Intercultural Communication and Language" In accordance with the tradition of the Linguistics Colloquium, the topic is fairly open, so that participants can report a wide range of research findings. In the Parallel sessions contributions from various areas of linguistics are welcome. The following strands are proposed as foci for parallel sessions: Language and culture Language and society Lexical semantics and phraseology Text pragmatics Multilingualism Studies in applied linguistics Contrastive language studies Papers can be submitted in German, English and French. To provide time for discussion of each paper (approx. 10 minutes), talks should not exceed 20 minutes. Call for Papers International Workshop: Strategies for Optimizing The Quality Standard in English for Specific Purposes. Virtual presentation (in absentia): If you wish your paper to be published in the Workshop Volume but you are not able to attend in person, you can register for a "virtual presentation". Virtual authors should submit their papers for the reviewing process before the paper submission deadline. After the review process, virtual authors will submit a Power Point presentation with voice. Registered virtual authors will receive a copy of the Workshop Proceedings, a certificate of presentation in absentia and an invoice of the registration fee. The shipment will be made by post after the workshop date.
