The LINGUIST List will have a table in the publishers’ exhibition at the 2009 Annual Meeting of the LSA in San Francisco. Please stop by to meet some of our editors, ask a question or make a suggestion.
This year we will be featuring short video presentations on projects undertaken by LINGUIST in 2008 including:
MultiTree: a digital library of scholarly hypotheses about language relationships and subgroupings
Language and Location - A Map Annotation Project (LL-MAP): a project designed to integrate language information with data from the physical and social sciences by means of a Geographical Information System (GIS)
LINGUIST Internship Registry: an announcement facility enabling researchers and institutions to announce paid or unpaid internships available specifically for linguists
EasyAbstracts (EasyAbs): an abstract submission and review facility designed to help conference organizers and reviewers accept and process abstracts online
