The LINGUIST List will have a table in the publishers’ exhibition at the
2009 Annual Meeting of the LSA in San Francisco. Please stop by to meet
some of our editors, ask a question or make a suggestion.

This year we will be featuring short video presentations on projects
undertaken by LINGUIST in 2008 including:

MultiTree:
a digital library of scholarly hypotheses about language relationships and
subgroupings

Language and Location - A Map Annotation Project (LL-MAP):
a project designed to integrate language information with data from the
physical and social sciences by means of a Geographical Information System
(GIS)

LINGUIST Internship Registry:
an announcement facility enabling researchers and institutions to announce
paid or unpaid internships available specifically for linguists

EasyAbstracts (EasyAbs):
an abstract submission and review facility designed to help conference
organizers and reviewers accept and process abstracts online
