Full Title: Sinn und Bedeutung 14 Short Title: SuB 14 Date: 28-Sep-2009 - 30-Sep-2009 Location: Vienna, Austria Contact Person: Viola Schmitt Meeting Email: sub14.linguistik univie.ac.at Web Site: http://www.univie.ac.at/sub14/ Linguistic Field(s): Philosophy of Language; Pragmatics; Semantics; Syntax Call Deadline: 15-Apr-2009 Meeting Description: The 14th Sinn und Bedeutung conference takes place September 28-30, 2009, at the department of linguistics in Vienna. 2nd Call for Papers Abstracts devoted to natural language semantics, the syntax-semantics interface, pragmatics, psycholinguistic aspects of meaning, and philosophy of language can now be submitted for review. 34 Papers will be selected for presentation at Sinn und Bedeutung 14 in Vienna. The time slot for each paper is 45 minutes, discussion included. Abstracts should contain original research that, at the time of submission, has neither been published nor accepted for publication. Each person can submit at most one abstract as sole author and one abstract as co-author. Abstracts must not exceed 2 pages including all data and references and have to be written in 12pt font with 2.5 cm (1 inch) margins. Submissions also have to be anonymous and in PDF format. Abstracts can be submitted via EasyChair. The link to the submission site can be found on the conference homepage: http://www.univie.ac.at/sub14 In exceptional cases we will accept abstracts sent by mail to the department of linguistics. Electronic submissions are preferred. The submission deadline is April 15, 2009

This colloquium about Dialogue and Dialogues focuses specifically on theoretical problems related to research work on the different aspects of dialogues, as well as on the types of verbal encounters in which the dialogue constitutes the specific form of communication between participants.
