Meeting Description:
The Faculty of Polish Studies of the University of Warsaw, the Foundation of Polish Language and the National Corpus of Polish are pleased to announce the first conference 'SLAVICORP. Corpora of Slavic Languages'. The conference is the first meeting of the Corpus Linguistics Committee of the International Committee of Slavists. As the Committee is still being formed, all individuals and institutions are welcome to join it. We invite all slavists and linguists from Slavic countries, and in particular representatives of Slavic national and parallel corpora. The conference will be held at the University of Warsaw on November the 22nd-24th 2010. The topics of the conference include, but are not limited to the following: -Recent developments in national Slavic corpora -New Slavic corpus projects -Parallel Slavic corpora -Slavic corpora and corpus based dictionaries -Diachronic corpora and digital literature databases -Corpora in teaching. Incorporating corpora in university and high-school syllabuses -Search tools and tagsets. Grammatical annotation in Slavic languages.
