We are all deeply grateful for the funds that have already come in from
the linguistic community. Other sciences are struggling to build what we
already have - a central information hub where all jobs, books, articles,
research initiatives and grant prospects are archived and sent out from. A
meeting place for hundreds of people on mailingslist, and an intensive
ancd challenging training facility for the next generation of language
technology experts.

Without your donations - and we are $4000 short for the advisors
challenge, which all in all will fund tuition for one of your student
editors - parts of this will start to disappear. Graduate students might
not be able to finish their degrees, or, more likely, fewer new ones will
be hired.

If you have used the Linguist List in the past - finding articles, books,
jobs, TOCs, resources for your classes and students, conferences or used
our EasyAbs to build your conferences website - please take a moment to
consider what that is worth to you.
