Major focus areas are finiteness in (first and second) language acquisition; the relation between finiteness and linguistic categories such as tense, agreement, modality, and negation; the role of finiteness in binding, and the expressions and repercussions of finiteness in languages with no morphological finiteness distinction, such as Chinese.
