Director of Solutions
Janya, a leader in natural language processing applications, offers
products and solutions based on its text analytics technology for DoD,
intelligence, law enforcement communities, and other government markets.
Janya is located in suburban Buffalo, New York State, USA, in the
technology corridor adjoining the State University of New York at Buffalo
campus.
Job Summary
The Director of Solutions will lead the development and implementation of
vertical solutions based on our Semantex text analytics platform.
Additionally, the person will be responsible for overseeing the strategic
direction of Janya's product lifecycle to ensure our solutions continue to
best serve the needs of our customers. We are looking for a creative
leader who will initially be hands-on working with a small team, and as
growth warrants, build the team.
Responsibilities
-Customized vertical solutions based on Semantex
-Support the sales team in getting client buy-in to new applications and
creating solutions to meet specific client needs
-Direct overall product lifecycle planning and management for Semantex
-Assimilate information from clients, sales team, product management,
client services, and industry sources to develop both short and long term
product line vision and strategies.
-Collaborate with engineering and other functional teams to ensure product
development schedules are met.
-Oversee the communication of relevant information on product releases and
value proposition internally and externally as necessary.
-Manage and mentor product management and professional services employees
that have a diverse knowledge of business processes and solution best
practices.
Knowledge and Experience
-Advanced degree in computer science; expertise in natural language
processing, computational linguistics, or information retrieval
-Work experience with language technologies, hands-on experience with
language engineering tools
-5+ years of relevant industry experience, possess strong product
management and marketing skills, and have specific software experience in
the language technology industry.
-Demonstrated ability to work with and lead cross-functional teams, strong
communication and writing skills, and sound business and leadership judgment.
US citizen preferred. Salary will be commensurate with education and
experience. Janya offers a generous benefits package that includes health
