Adjunct Instructor of Japanese Language and Literature The University of Montana seeks to appoint for a one-year term, with the possibility of continuing, an adjunct instructor of Japanese language and literature, beginning Fall 2010. ABD/Ph.D. preferred, native or near-native fluency in Japanese and English required. MAs in the field with prior Japanese teaching experience will also be considered. Please provide evidence of prior successful language teaching experience at university level, including student evaluations. A specialization in JSL pedagogy or Japanese applied linguistics would be the most desirable; otherwise, a specialty in a field of Japanese literature (with strong language-teaching skills and interests) would be satisfactory. Courses to include Japanese language (Beginning and Intermediate levels, using the Yookoso! textbook) and one elective in the applicant's field of interest and expertise.
