The World Languages Department at the University of South Florida seeks
applicants for a full time Instructor of Spanish to begin August 7, 2010.
The position is a 9 month, full time, non-tenure track, with potential
additional responsibilities for service related to lower division
instruction. This position may include teaching some evening courses. USF
offers a first class benefits package that includes medical, dental and
life insurance plans, retirement plan options, tuition program, generous
leave programs and much more. Salary for this position is 36,000 annually.
Responsibilities: Teach Spanish language at all levels. These positions
will be teaching intensive, with 4 plus 4 teaching loads or the equivalent
Minimum: M.A. in Spanish with evidence of experience teaching Spanish at
the university level. Experience with En Linea online web course and
delivery of Spanish courses to a large online student audience. Candidate
will also be a native speaker of Spanish with a full command of English.
Interest and commitment to undergraduate education in an interdisciplinary
environment. Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
Proven experience serving a diverse student population. Ability to utilize
technology for instructional delivery. Successful post secondary teaching
