Full Title: Syntax, Phonology, and Language Analysis 3 Short Title: SinFonIJA 3 Date: 01-Oct-2010 - 03-Oct-2010 Location: Novi Sad, Serbia Contact Person: Tanja Mili?ev Meeting Email: sinfonija.3 gmail.com Web Site: http://sabotin.ung.si/~jezik/sinfon_3/ Linguistic Field(s): General Linguistics; Psycholinguistics Call Deadline: 15-Jun-2010 Meeting Description: SinFonIJA stands for Syntax Phonology and Language Analysis (SINtaksa FONologija I Jezi?ka Analiza). The idea of having a conference that would travel around the area of Central and South East Europe (or former Yugoslavia and former Austro-Hungarian empire) has been around for long, but we had to wait until 2008 to implement the idea. After the initial meeting held in Nova Gorica in 2008, SinFonIJA survived the first repetition in 2009 in Sarajevo (all participants agreed SinFonIJA 2 was a success) and is now turning into a proper regular annual conference on formal linguistics in this part of the world. The conference will be held in English. 2nd Call For Papers SinFonIJA 3 - (Syntax, Phonology and Language Analysis) Linguistic Field(s): Formal linguistics SinFonIJA is a formal linguistics conference that is organized each year by a different institution in the area of former Yugoslavia and Austro-Hungarian Empire. The University of Novi Sad is pleased to invite you to submit abstracts for the third annual conference SinFonIJA 3, which will take place on October 1 - 3, 2010, in Novi Sad. The theme of the SinFonIJA conference is wide and spans all areas of (formal) linguistics. The primary goal of SinFonIJA is to connect people from Central and South-Eastern Europe, but it is open to participants from everywhere. It also aims at promoting the application of different theoretical models to language analysis. The conference will also feature a workshop on ''Natural Language Processing and Language Technologies'', organized in cooperation with the AlfaNum group (Faculty of Techinical Engineering, University of Novi Sad; http://www.alfanum- global.com/).
