Applications are invited for:- Department of Linguistics and Modern Languages Instructor I / Instructor II (Full-time) / Part-time Instructors [Spanish] (Ref. 0910/188(482)/2) (Closing date: July 6, 2010) Applicants should have (i) a relevant Master degree or above; (ii) linguistics training background; (iii) experience in teaching courses in Spanish as a foreign/second language; (iv) an interest in the development of language teaching methodology and second language acquisition; (v) experience in curriculum development; (vi) the ability to use English as a medium of instruction; and preferably (vii) experience in teaching Asian learners at university level. Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for up to two years commencing September 2010 or January 2011, renewable subject to performance, funding and mutual agreement. Salary and Fringe Benefits Salary will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. The University offers a comprehensive fringe benefit package, including medical care, plus a contract-end gratuity for an appointment of two years.
