The University of Aberdeen Senior Lecturer/Lecturer in Linguistics The School of Language & Literature is seeking to appoint a Senior Lecturer/Lecturer in Linguistics in the area of Applied Linguistics and/or Discourse Analysis. Applicants should have a research record commensurate with the current stage of their career trajectory, along with firm plans for a high-scoring submission to the forthcoming Research Excellence Framework. As well as carrying out teaching, research and administrative duties as appropriate, you will be expected to participate in our Masters degrees (M.Litt) in English Linguistics for Advanced Teachers of English (ELATE) and to undertake doctoral supervision. You will hold a PhD in Applied Linguistics/Discourse Analysis or a related area, and will have experience of teaching linguistics. The ability to organise and develop research, and to work independently and as part of a team is an essential requirement of this post.
