Meeting Description:

Localisation has become a major issue in all countries to ensure the outreach of
information. Aware of the urgent need for localisation especially in the most
common Indian languages, GIST RESEARCH LABS. CDAC PUNE have tied up with the
Localisation Research Centre, Limerick Ireland as well as TILP (Institute for
Training Localisation professionals) to ensure that dearth of information in
one's mother-tongue does not act as a deterrent for outreach of information. As
a pre-event the period of 1-4 December is given over to Localisation Training
and the 6-7 December to an International Conference under the aegis of AGIS:
Action for Global Information Sharing. The venue will be in Delhi. This is the
10th of a series of conferences in the important area of localisation.
