Description:
Applications are invited for this permanent post based in the Centre for English Language Education (CELE). The successful candidate will be expected to design, convene and teach on a range of credit-bearing courses which are taught or being developed in the Centre, and be an active researcher specialising in the area of spoken English. In addition to holding a PhD in applied linguistics or a related area with relevance to spoken discourse in English, candidates must be able to demonstrate that they have experience of undergraduate teaching and a proven track record of published research. By negotiation, this post may entail periods of teaching and/or research at the University's overseas campuses. Salary will be within the range £32,620 - £43,840 per annum, depending on skills and experience (salary can progress to £50,822 per annum, subject to performance).
