Call for Participation:

The IX Corpus Linguistics Meeting aims to bring together professionals in
Linguistics, Historical Linguistics, Applied Linguistics, Information Sciences,
Computation and other areas that use Corpus Linguistics, to discuss concluded or
ongoing research in this area. The Meeting will be held on October 8th and 9th
of 2010 in the School of Letters at PUCRS (Porto Alegre, RS), immediately after
the IV Brazilian School of Computational Linguistics, which will take place on
October 6th and 7th of 2010.

In this edition, the main theme is Corpus Linguistics: Language Teaching and
Translation

The main languages of the conference are English and Portuguese.

O IX Encontro de Linguística de Corpus visa congregar profissionais de
Linguística, Linguística Histórica, Linguística Aplicada, Ciências da
Informação, Computação e outras áreas que utilizem a Linguística de Corpus para
que apresentem trabalhos concluídos ou em desenvolvimento dentro desta área.
Será realizado entre os dias 8 e 9 de outubro de 2010 na Faculdade de Letras da
PUCRS (Porto Alegre, RS), imediatamente após a IV Escola Brasileira de
Lingüística Computacional, que acontecerá nos dias 6 e 7 de outubro de 2010

Nesta edição, pretende-se abordar o tema Linguística de Corpus: Ensino de
Línguas e Tradução.
