Ref: UOS000640 Lecturer x 2 posts Grade 8 £36,532 to £43,622 per annum, with potential to progress to £49,096 The School of Modern Languages and Linguistics invites applications for two lectureships to join one of the largest and strongest departments of Hispanic Studies in the UK. The successful applicants will be committed to producing high-quality research, individually and in collaboration with others, and will have begun to develop a track record in this area. They will also be expected to design, prepare, and deliver teaching programmes, including preparing and supervising different modes of assessment, as well as performing administrative duties. Applicants will have, or will be near to completion of, a PhD in a relevant subject area, and will have proven teaching ability. The ability to teach Spanish at all levels is essential. One post will be for a specialist in modern Peninsular Spanish culture and society; the other, irrespective of their research specialism, will be expected to contribute to the development of the School's MA provision in applied language studies (e.g. translation studies, screen translation, intercultural communication).
