The conference aims to bring together researchers interested in semantic issues related to emotions in cross-cultural settings or/and a cross- linguistic environment. We are interested in all linguistic focuses: lexical, syntactical, prosodical and morphological. Thus research could consider, for example, the prosodical specificities characterizing expression of the same emotion in different languages, or the lexical resources or the syntactical structures that are used, in various languages, to express an emotion. Both theoretical research (functional semantics, natural semantic metalanguage, etc.) and applied research (teaching emotions in a classroom for instance) are targeted in this conference.
