Areas of particular interest include, but are not limited to, variation theory and language contact. Preference will be shown to candidates interested in carrying out field work in the linguistically and culturally diverse speech communities of San Diego. The successful candidate will show a promising research agenda, demonstrated excellence in teaching, and the potential to attract students from across the university.
