Call for Papers The aim of the event is to bring together researchers who investigate various aspects of English phonetics and English pronunciation both from the theoretical and pedagogical perspectives. Papers addressing comparative issues between English and another language are most welcome. The official language of the conference is English. The keynote speakers are Emeritus Professor of Phonetics John Wells, University College London, UK, and Professor Tatjana Paunović, University of Niš, Serbia. Professor Wells will talk about the research that lay behind the new edition of LPD in his talk entitled "Preference polls, proper names, and pronunciation dictionaries". In her talk Professor Paunović will address the issue of using innovative methods of analysing phonetic data. Her lecture is entitled "Qualitative methods in phonetic research- a contradictio in adjecto?" Each paper will be allotted 30 minutes (20 minutes for presentation and 10 minutes for discussion). A selection of papers will be published after the conference.
