The Ubiquitous Knowledge Processing Lab at the Computer Science Department at the Technische Universität Darmstadt is seeking to fill the position of a: Research Scientist "Collaboratively Constructed Knowledge Resources in Web 2.0" The main focus of this position is mining lexical-semantic knowledge from collaboratively constructed language resources in Web 2.0, computer-supported research of their genesis including the development and maintenance of software computational studies of Web 2.0 resources. This includes the implementation and evaluation of knowledge mining methods and the integration of Web-based knowledge bases into a common data storage. We are seeking an outstanding candidate, preferentially with PhD in Computer Science, Computational Linguistics, or in a related field. Applications without PhD but outstanding achievements are also welcome.
