Job Rank: Assistant Professor Specialty Areas: Syntax Required: PhD in Linguistics or related discipline; evidence of ability to maintain ongoing, high quality research and publications in syntax; evidence of successful college level teaching. Desired: Demonstrated interest or experience in the linguistic analysis of Indigenous languages. Teaching load is 2/2 for tenure-track faculty with a significant research agenda. Teaching opportunities are at undergraduate, Master's, and PhD levels. Arizona State University is a large metropolitan university with linguists housed in various departments; the appointment will be in the Department of English (URL above). The candidate will contribute to teaching in existing programs as well as help develop new programs.
